Port Forecast Alert Threshold

■ RAS ISA TERMINAL, Yemen

The primary weather concern for Ras Isa Terminal is significant and sustained wind, gust, and wave conditions building from the late evening of April 16 and persisting well into April 17.
Wind: Sustained winds cross the Yellow Caution threshold (>20 kts) from 04:00 LT on April 17, peaking at approximately 24 kts around 06:00 LT. Winds remain elevated above threshold until 14:00 LT.
Gust: Wind gusts exceed the Yellow Caution threshold (>30 kts) from 04:00 LT on April 17, peaking at approximately 36 kts around 06:00 LT. Gusts remain at elevated levels before gradually weakening, dropping below threshold by 14:00 LT.
Wave: Significant wave heights cross the Yellow Caution threshold (≥2.5 m) from 02:00 LT on April 17, peaking at 3.5 m from 11:00–12:00 LT. Maximum wave heights reach 5.7 m during the same window. Both ease gradually through the afternoon but significant wave heights still near the threshold by the end of the forecast period.
■ MOCHA, Yemen

The primary weather concern for Mocha is persistent and elevated wind and gust conditions throughout the entire forecast period, with wave heights building notably during the afternoon of April 17.
Wind: Sustained winds remain above the Yellow Caution threshold (>20 kts) for the entire period, peaking at 29 kts from 08:00–12:00 LT on April 17. Winds show little sign of easing, but remained above the threshold through the end of the forecast.
Gust: Wind gusts are well above the Yellow Caution threshold (>30 kts) throughout, peaking at 44 kts from 09:00–10:00 LT on April 17. Gusts remain persistently elevated with no significant easing through the forecast period.
Wave: Significant wave heights remain below the Yellow Caution threshold (≥2.5 m) at the beginning but gradually elevated from 13:00 LT and peaking at 3.3 m at 15:00 LT on April 17 before easing back below threshold by 18:00 LT. Maximum wave heights reach 5.3 m during the same window.
■ FUJAIRAH (AL-FUJAIRAH), United Arab Emirates

The primary weather concern for Fujairah (Al Fujairah) is a brief gust spike during the afternoon of April 17, with wind and wave conditions otherwise remaining well below alert levels throughout the forecast period.
Wind: Sustained winds remain below the Yellow Caution threshold (<20 kts) for nearly the entire period, briefly touching 20 kts at 16:00 LT on April 17 before quickly easing. Winds are otherwise light, ranging between 6–12 kts.
Gust: Wind gusts remain below the Yellow Caution threshold (<30 kts) throughout, briefly peaking at 30 kts at 16:00 LT on April 17 before easing back to 15 kts by 19:00 LT. No sustained exceedance of threshold occurs.
Wave: Significant wave heights are negligible throughout the forecast period.
