Port Forecast Alert Threshold

■ AL RAYYAN, Qatar

The primary weather concern for Al Rayyan today is elevated daytime winds, gusts, and wave heights triggering Yellow Caution alerts before subsiding in the evening.

Wind: Sustained winds cross the Yellow Caution threshold (20 kts) around 08:00 LT, peaking at approximately 24 kts at 09:00 LT, and remain cautionary until 18:00 LT before easing.

Gust: Wind gusts maintain a Yellow Caution status (> 30 kts) for much of the day, peaking near 36 kts at 09:00 LT and dropping below the threshold after 18:00 LT.

Wave: Significant wave heights rise above the Yellow Caution threshold (2.5m) around 08:00 LT, peaking near 3.0m at 18:00 LT, before dropping back below caution levels by late evening.

■ AL SHAHEEN, Qatar

The main weather highlight for Al Shaheen is deteriorating conditions in the afternoon, with winds, gusts, and waves all exceeding cautionary levels and waves briefly touching the Red Warning threshold.

Wind: Wind speeds steadily increase, entering Yellow Caution (> 20 kts) around 14:00 LT and peaking at 25 kts at 18:00 LT before subsiding late in the evening.

Gust: Gusts surpass the Yellow Caution threshold (> 30 kts) starting around 13:00 LT, reaching a significant peak of roughly 37 kts at 18:00 LT.

Wave: Significant wave heights rise sharply through the afternoon, crossing into Yellow Caution (> 2.5m) by 12:00 LT and peaking at the Red Warning threshold (3.5m) at 18:00 LT before gradually decreasing.

■ BAHRAIN LNG TERMINAL, Bahrain

Bahrain LNG Terminal will experience marginally elevated winds and gusts reaching cautionary levels periodically during the day, accompanied by rising but non-alerting wave heights.

Wind: Sustained winds generally range between 14–21 kts, briefly touching or slightly exceeding the Yellow Caution threshold (20 kts) around 09:00 LT and 15:00 LT.

Gust: Wind gusts hit the Yellow Caution mark (> 30 kts) briefly at 09:00 LT and peak at roughly 31 kts at 15:00 LT before steadily dropping to below 20 kts by late evening.

Wave: Significant wave heights increase from a calm 0.9m in the early morning to a peak of approximately 2.4m at 15:00 LT, maintaining a narrow margin below the Yellow Caution threshold (2.5m).
