Port Forecast Alert Threshold

■ RAS GHARIB, Egypt

The primary weather concern for Ras Gharib today is persistent cautionary winds and gusts throughout the majority of the day, along with borderline cautionary wave heights early on.
Wind: Sustained winds remain steadily in the Yellow Caution status (> 20 kts) for almost the entire day, generally fluctuating between 22–24 kts before slightly dipping to 18-20 kts late in the evening.
Gust: Wind gusts trigger a continuous Yellow Caution alert (> 30 kts) from the start of the period through 19:00 LT, peaking near 37 kts at 09:00 LT. Gusts drop just below the threshold between 20:00 LT and 22:00 LT before rising again.
Wave: Significant wave heights hover right around the Yellow Caution threshold (2.5m) through the morning and early afternoon, peaking near 2.6m at 09:00 LT, before subsiding below 2.0m by 21:00 LT.
■ SAFAGA, Egypt

Weather conditions at Safaga Port highlight a clear mid-day peak in winds, gusts, and waves, pushing all parameters into cautionary levels before a significant drop-off in the evening.
Wind: Sustained winds rise above the Yellow Caution threshold (20 kts) around 07:00 LT, peaking near 23 kts at 15:00 LT, before steadily declining to a calm 8-9 kts by midnight.
Gust: Wind gusts follow a similar bell curve, entering Yellow Caution (> 30 kts) at 07:00 LT, peaking at approximately 34 kts around 15:00 LT, and dropping well clear of alerts by 18:00 LT.
Wave: Significant wave heights cross into Yellow Caution status (> 2.5m) around 06:00 LT and remain elevated throughout the daytime, peaking at roughly 3.0m between 09:00 LT and 15:00 LT before subsiding safely below the threshold in the evening.
■ YANBU (YANBO), Saudi Arabia

The main weather highlight for Yanbu is a sharp afternoon escalation in conditions, transitioning from a very calm morning to cautionary alerts across all parameters by mid-afternoon.
Wind: Wind speeds dip to a calm 6 kts at 08:00 LT before climbing sharply to cross the Yellow Caution threshold (> 20 kts) around 13:00 LT, peaking at approximately 25 kts at 15:00 LT. Winds drop back below caution levels by 23:00 LT.
Gust: Gusts exhibit a dramatic rise, starting low in the morning (9 kts at 08:00 LT) but surging past the Yellow Caution mark (> 30 kts) by 14:00 LT, reaching a significant peak of 38 kts at 15:00 LT.
Wave: Significant wave heights are nearly flat in the morning (0.6m at 08:00 LT) but swell rapidly alongside the wind, briefly crossing into Yellow Caution (> 2.5m) between 14:00 LT and 16:00 LT, peaking near 2.7m.
