Port Forecast Alert Threshold

■ KARACHI, Pakistan

The primary weather concern for Karachi today is elevated wave heights reaching cautionary levels in the afternoon, while winds and gusts remain below alert thresholds.
Wind: Sustained winds remain moderate throughout the period, starting around 14 knots and steadily increasing to peak at approximately 19 knots from around 15:00 LT onwards, remaining just below the Yellow Caution threshold (20 knots).
Gust: Wind gusts follow a similar pattern, rising during the afternoon to reach a peak of approximately 28 knots from around 15:00 LT, staying below the Yellow Caution threshold (30 knots).
Wave: Significant wave heights enter a Yellow Caution status (> 2.5m) starting around 14:00 LT, peaking at approximately 2.7 meters at 17:00 LT, and remaining elevated through the evening.
■ KHARG ISLAND, Iran

The primary weather concern for Kharg Island today is strong winds and gusts triggering a Yellow Caution status during the late night May 29-early morning hours of May 30, while waves remain well below any alert thresholds.
Wind: Sustained winds start elevated and enter Yellow Caution status (> 20 kts), peaking at 20 knots around 23:00 LT and thereafter.
Gust: Wind gusts trigger a continuous Yellow Caution alert (> 30 kts), peaking at approximately 30 knots between 23:00 LT and thereafter.
Wave: Significant wave heights remain low and safe throughout the entire period, peaking at a 1.2 meters around early morning hours of May 30, well clear of the 2.5-meter caution line.
■ KUWAIT, Kuwait

The main weather highlight for Kuwait Port today is strongly elevated morning and afternoon winds and gusts triggering a continuous Yellow Caution alert, while wave heights remain well below cautionary limits.
Wind: Sustained winds start the period exactly at the Yellow Caution threshold (20 kts) and rise to peak near 22 knots around 08:00 LT. Wind speeds remain in caution status until they ease below 20 knots after 20:00 LT.
Gust: Wind gusts trigger a continuous Yellow Caution alert (> 30 kts) from the early morning and the afternoon, reaching a significant peak of approximately 32 knots at 08:00 LT and around 30 knots between 16:00 LT to 18:00 LT.
Wave: Significant wave heights follow a similar trend but remain entirely safe, peaking at a modest 0.9 meters between 14:00 LT and 20:00 LT, comfortably below the 2.5-meter caution threshold.
