Port Forecast Alert Threshold

■ AL RAYYAN, Qatar

The primary weather concern for Al Rayyan today is elevated early morning winds and gusts reaching cautionary levels, which will taper off significantly by midday.

Wind: Sustained winds start at the Yellow Caution threshold (20 kts) during the early hours (03:00 LT to 06:00 LT) before steadily decreasing to 12–15 kts for the remainder of the period.

Gust: Wind gusts hit the Yellow Caution threshold (30 kts) at the very start of the period (03:00 LT) and gradually subside, dropping below 20 kts by midday.

Wave: Significant wave heights peak at approximately 2.3m early in the morning, remaining just below the 2.5m Caution threshold, before settling to around 1.4m to 1.6m later in the day.

■ AL SHAHEEN, Qatar

The main weather highlight for Al Shaheen is early morning cautionary wind, gust, and wave conditions that will steadily improve as the day progresses.

Wind: Wind speeds begin in Yellow Caution status, peaking near 22 kts at 03:00 LT, then steadily decline to roughly 11 kts by midday before a slight increase in the evening.

Gust: Gusts exceed the Yellow Caution threshold (> 30 kts) between 03:00 LT and 06:00 LT, reaching a high of approximately 33 kts, before dropping significantly through the afternoon.

Wave: Significant wave heights touch the 2.5m Yellow Caution threshold at 03:00 LT before briefly subsiding to around 1.5m by 12:00 LT. Expect near 2m significant wave for the rest of the forecast period.

■ HALUL ISLAND, Qatar

Halul Island will experience borderline cautionary winds and gusts in the very early morning, quickly giving way to calm conditions for the rest of the day.

Wind: Sustained winds briefly touch the Yellow Caution threshold (20 kts) at 03:00 LT, then decrease to a calm 10 kts by 12:00 LT, remaining light through the evening.

Gust: Wind gusts start exactly at the Yellow Caution threshold (30 kts) at 03:00 LT and steadily decline to 15 kts by midday, staying well below alert levels thereafter.

Wave: Significant wave heights begin at a peak of roughly 2.3m, staying under the 2.5m Caution mark, and smoothly decrease to range between 1.3m and 1.5m for the remainder of the period.
