Port Forecast Alert Threshold

■ DUQM, Oman

Elevated winds and gusts reach their highest speeds between 04:00–07:00 LT before easing temporarily and settling into a steady rhythm for the remainder of the period. Wave heights remain calm and largely unchanged throughout the day. All parameters remain below alert thresholds.

Wind: Winds begin at a peak of 20 kts from 04:00–07:00 LT, drop to 16 kts between 10:00–12:00 LT, and then climb slightly to hold around 17 to 18 kts through 23:00 LT.

Gust: Gusts hit a maximum of 30 kts at 04:00–05:00 LT before subsiding to a low of 25 kts from 10:00–12:00 LT, eventually stabilizing between 26 and 27 kts until 23:00 LT.

Wave: Significant wave height fluctuates minimally during the period, starting at 1.7 m at 04:00–05:00 LT, dipping to 1.6 m from 06:00–14:00 LT, and returning to a steady 1.7 m from 15:00 LT through 23:00 LT.

■ PIPAVAV, India

Calm morning conditions give way to a significant escalation in weather by the afternoon. Winds, gusts, and waves all build sharply, exceeding their respective Yellow Caution thresholds between 13:00 and 18:00 LT before steadily subsiding through the evening.

Wind: Winds begin at a low of 7 kts at 08:00 LT before climbing rapidly to peak at 24 kts from 14:00–15:00 LT, exceeding the 20 kts Yellow Caution threshold between 14:00–18:00 LT, and finally easing to 16 kts by 23:00 LT.

Gust: Gusts track the sustained winds, starting at 11 kts at 08:00 LT and surging to a maximum of 36 kts at 14:00–15:00 LT, exceeding the 30 kts Yellow Caution threshold from 13:00–18:00 LT before dropping to 24 kts by 23:00 LT.

Wave: Significant wave height starts at 1.4 m at 07:00–08:00 LT, building to a peak of 2.9 m at 14:00–15:00 LT, exceeding the 2.5 m Yellow Caution threshold from 14:00–18:00 LT before declining to 1.8 m by 23:00 LT.

■ MUHAMMAD BIN QASIM, Pakistan

Winds and gusts remain highly consistent and moderate throughout the day, showing very little fluctuation. Wave heights hover at or just above cautionary levels during the early part of the day before stabilizing.

Wind: Winds hold steady between 16 and 19 kts during the period, reaching a subtle peak of 19 kts at 13:00–14:00 LT before dipping slightly to 16 kts from 19:00–21:00 LT.

Gust: Gusts track closely with the sustained winds, peaking gently at 28 kts at 13:00–14:00 LT and dropping to a minimum of 24 kts from 20:00–21:00 LT.

Wave: Significant wave height starts at 2.5 m at 05:00–06:00 LT, increasing slightly to 2.6 m to exceed the 2.5 m Yellow Caution threshold from 07:00–09:00 LT, before settling exactly at 2.5 m from 10:00 LT through the rest of the period.
