Port Forecast Alert Threshold

■ RATNAGIRI BAY, India

Winds and gusts remain light and well below alert thresholds throughout July 1. Significant wave height exceeds the 2.5 m Yellow Caution threshold for the entire period, gradually building through the night.

Wind: Winds hold at 10–12 kts from 05:30–23:30 LT before steadily climbing to a peak of 17 kts by 04:30 LT.

Gust: Gusts range from 15–18 kts through 23:30 LT before building steadily to a peak of 25 kts by 04:30 LT.

Significant wave height remains above the 2.5 m Yellow Caution threshold throughout the entire period, holding at 2.7 m from 05:30–23:30 LT before rising to a peak of 3.0 m at 03:30–04:30 LT.

■ KARACHI, Pakistan

Winds and gusts remain steady and well below alert thresholds throughout July 1. Significant wave height exceeds the 2.5 m Yellow Caution threshold for the entire period, building gradually through the day.

Wind: Winds open at 17 kts at 05:00–09:00 LT before easing steadily to 15 kts by 03:00–04:00 LT.

Gust: Gusts peak at 26 kts at 07:00–09:00 LT before gradually easing to 22 kts by 04:00 LT.

Significant wave height remains above the 2.5 m Yellow Caution threshold throughout the entire period, starting at 2.9 m at 05:00–06:00 LT before rising to a peak of 3.1 m from 19:00 LT and holding through 04:00 LT.

■ RAS AL HADD, Oman

Winds ease to near-calm through the morning before building steadily to an afternoon peak, with both wind and gusts exceeding their respective Yellow Caution thresholds from 18:00–20:00 LT. Waves remain low throughout the period.

Wind: Winds drop from 11 kts at 04:00 LT to a minimum of 1 kt at 12:00 LT before climbing to a peak of 22 kts at 19:00 LT, exceeding the 20 kts Yellow Caution threshold from 18:00–20:00 LT. Winds then ease to 15 kts by 03:00 LT.

Gust: Gusts subside from 17 kts at 04:00 LT to 2 kts at 12:00 LT before surging to a peak of 34 kts at 19:00 LT, exceeding the 30 kts Yellow Caution threshold from 18:00–20:00 LT. Gusts then taper to 23 kts by 03:00 LT.

Significant wave height ranges from 1.0 m at 07:00–08:00 LT and 12:00–13:00 LT, rising to a peak of 1.4 m at 18:00–20:00 LT before easing to 1.2 m by 03:00 LT.
