■ MUMBAI, India
Winds and gusts both remain in Yellow Caution territory throughout July 24, maintaining persistently elevated conditions all day. Significant wave heights exceed the caution threshold for most of the period before easing below threshold by 18:00 LT.
Wind: Winds start at 25 kts at 05:00 LT already exceeding the 20 kts Yellow Caution threshold, peaking at 26 kts at 08:00 LT before gradually easing to 22 kts at 18:00 LT and settling at 22–23 kts through 23:00 LT.
Gust: Gusts hold above the 30 kts Yellow Caution threshold for the entire period, opening at 37 kts at 05:00 LT, peaking at 39 kts at 06:00 LT, and easing to a low of 34-35 kts by 18:00–23:00 LT.
Wave: Significant wave height starts at 2.6 m at 05:00 LT, exceeding the 2.5 m Yellow Caution threshold, and peaks at 2.8 m at 08:00 LT before easing to a sustained 2.5 m from 11:00–17:00 LT. Heights then dip below threshold from 18:00 LT for the rest of the period.
■ DEENDAYAL, India
Wind and gusts on July 24 both exceed Yellow Caution thresholds during two windows with conditions easing below alert levels in the middle of the day. Waves remain very low throughout the day, well clear of caution levels.
Wind: Winds open at 21 kts at 05:00 LT, exceeding the 20 kts Yellow Caution threshold through 11:00 LT before easing to 19 kts at 12:00 LT. Winds returns above the Yellow Caution threshold at 17:00 LT, peaking at 22 kts from 20:00–23:00 LT.
Gust: Gusts start at 31 kts at 05:00 LT, exceeding the 30 kts Yellow Caution threshold through 08:00 LT before easing to 29 kts from 09:00 LT. Gusts climb again breaching the Yellow Caution threshold at 17:00 LT and peaking at 33 kts from 20:00–23:00 LT.
Wave: Significant wave height stayed below the Yellow Caution threshold throughout the day. Opening at 1.6 m at 05:00 LT and drops sharply, falling to 0.3 m by 11:00 LT and holding at that level through 18:00 LT before settling at 0.4 m through 23:00 LT.
■ KARACHI, Pakistan
Significant wave heights remain above the 2.5 m Yellow Caution threshold throughout July 24, holding in a narrow range before building gently to a peak of 3.4 m at 20:00 LT. Winds and gusts ease to light levels in the morning before building steadily through the day, staying below alert thresholds throughout.
Wind: Winds ease from 13 kts at 05:00 LT to a low of 10 kts at 08:00–09:00 LT before gradually climbing to a peak of 19 kts at 20:00 LT and settling at 16 kts by 23:00 LT.
Gust: Gusts dip from 20 kts at 05:00 LT to a low of 15 kts at 08:00 LT before building through the day, reaching a peak of 28 kts at 20:00 LT and easing to 23 kts by 23:00 LT.
Wave: Significant wave height holds steady at 3.0–3.1 m from 05:00–17:00 LT — consistently above the 2.5 m Yellow Caution threshold — before building to a peak of 3.4 m at 20:00 LT and easing back to 3.2 m by 23:00 LT.
